Hi everyone!
First, thank you all for taking this adventure with us. So far everything seemed to be running very smoothly on production, but I was just informed that even though this order is the top priority with our manufacturer, every step of the process has required a much longer than normal lead time. Anything related to production such as fabric embroidery, tags, materials have all caused a delay resulting in one huge delay.
My manufacturer wrote to me and said the following: This year is quite stressful and unexpected to us. Due to very bad condition of Coronavirus-19 in India, Vietanam, and other Southeast countries, the productions which are usually arranged there are now shifting to China. This breaks the balance of supply chain in China. All the parties in supply chain become more and more tight .
He goes on to explain that even when the production is finally complete we may find it difficult to secure passage on a vessel. I am going to tackle that head-on and see if I can try to get it scheduled this week in hopes that it will be enough lead time to prevent any further delays.
I guess this is part of what makes the Kickstarter journey interesting, getting to see the behind-the-scenes stuff that doesn't work exactly according to plan.
We are sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. I will keep you updated as soon as I have more information.
Also, we send our love to all the people in the countries who are struggling right now with coronavirus and hope things get better for them soon.

Hi everyone!
John and I have been hacking away in the background at lots of fun Tentacle Kitty stuff (including working on a huge project that we can't exactly talk about yet!!), and it was recently brought to our attention that we have been quiet on here! I promised an update and here it is.
I am excited to announce that everything is running smoothly!
Fabrics have arrived and sewing will soon begin. John is working on finalizing ear tags and we are still making revisions to Levia!
Our journey in creating a perfect Levia:
We received the first prototype and it absolutely approved on the snuggly, squishiness, but was too light, so we asked for more weight to be added to make it 3.5 lbs. The next prototype was returned and it was about 19 lbs!! Wayyyy too heavy!
I think we've figured out the next perfect weight, and it will be closer to 4.5 pounds! I would tell you how I arrived at that, but it would definitely give away my super advanced secret way of perfecting the weight....
Just kidding~ I'll tell you! I grabbed my weighted blanket, and folded it in different ways to get different weights and put the first prototype on top for squishing... I discovered the portion of my weighted blanket that provided the best weight for Levia's size/shape, and confirmed it by placing the weight and the plush on every member in my household with a flawless victory of comfort!
I think there will be 3 weeks of sewing now, and 3-4 weeks of imports, and then we will start shipping them out!
Production is a little slower than normal right now, and so is shipping. It has stretched our timeline a little bit, but we are still on track and will have those kitties in your arms as quick as we can!

Hi Everyone,
A backer sent us the following information as a work-around if you can't find your survey email:
Go directly to Backerkit.com and sign up for an account using the same email you used for your kickstarter account. This should link the two accounts and the survey should be readily available from there without having to find an email link.
